A good and funny video about sensor sizes

It’s one and a half years old already, but I found it today, this video made by Zack Arias. And yes, I’ve read his article about it before, but didn’t bother to watch the videos.

Zack is a good guy. Used to be Joe McNally’s assistant when he was younger, now he’s a very good phtographer himself.

Enjoy…

  1. Indeed. A lot of buzz talk about the sensor sizes and all this hardware. Sure, it is nice to have a possibly highest performance gear, but in the end it’s all about the image contents. ๐Ÿ™‚
BTW I’ve published a new photo on my flickr. Take a look if you wish. This is the main Cathedral of my town. Nicely lit in the dark. I’ve made 18 photos (6×3-bracketing). Then convert each three bracketed pictures into HDR and then panorama from all. No other way to retain deep shadows and bright lights. Few days ago I received a print of it – 40x60cm. Very nice quality. I want to give it as a gift to some person. I’m thinking about trying to make a series of such pictures for multiple churches in Wroclaw – as a small photo project.
    Have a nice evening

    1. Wow, that is nice work indeed, Rafal! What’s amazing is the detail in both highlights and shadows, the resolution (about 20MP on Flickr), and also that there’s no sign of blur in those small tree branches because of wind. Perfect! An instant favourite on Flickr…
