Not so many opportunities

This winter was very dull and dark and grey so far, with lots of humidity as well. And when the sun was out for short moments, there was a really icy wind as well. So even with the best intentions, this isn’t the time for outdoor photography; at least not here.

Indoors wasn’t much better until now. When it’s dark outside, then lights are turned on. And there’s no worse light than our typical office light.

Today I took this, which was lit from two sides with daylight:

Pretty minimalistic, but maybe that fits the mood. Olympus E-PL1 with the 45mm lens, handheld using ISO 400 and the lens wide open.

Thanks for viewing.

My feelings exactly. I finally got my initial lens testing done on that new Sigma. It’s ok, with a few caveats. I put a post up earlier today.

Hi Libby – yes, I’ve read your review of the Sigma. Seems to be a nice little lens from what I see. But like the 20mm Pany is a bit short, this one might be a bit long, so tho the price is remarkable, I think I’ll still opt for the 25mm PanaLeica.
