Bird feeder in the sun

When I stepped outside for a smoke, I saw that today the weather is really nice:

So I should – and will – make use of it, and go for a walk.

On another note: an old friend and former colleague wrote me an email yesterday, and as it turns out he’s a great photographer. Gordon’s blog which I also added to my list on the right is in German, if you don’t understand that, you could still visit his main site and have a look at his photos. Hope we can stay in contact and probably even meet again, tho he’s way up North where we used to live while Zuleikha was born.

Ok; I should be off, it’s afternoon already.

Update, from later the same day:

Well I was out. And it was nice. But we also have a very chilly wind blowing, against which I didn’t have too much protection, so my walk was only about one and a half hours or so. I headed into the woods to get a bit protection, but woods have more shadow of course, so it was quite cold in there as well.

Anyway. When I saw these three tree trunks laying on the ground, I mounted my 45mm lens onto the E-PL1 “Pen” camera to get a bit more of a compressed view:

Of course some mindless idiots had to leave their marks, leaving their junk (and who on earth would bring aluminium cans into the wood)?

White and green also makes for nice contrasts:

It was nice to have sun again after weeks of grey skies:

And these leaves were dying, or at least seriously ill. But I’m a sucker for backlight and thought that they’d still make for a nice picture:

I headed home again after this. Just too cold. My wife and kid knew that, and didn’t want to join me at all.

Thanks for reading.
