This morning I went over to “our” C building at work, which was always partially occupied by Continental (the tyre makers). As it seems, they want to take over that building completely. Their “garden” was renovated, and the “smokers’ lounge” got a new rain and snow roof already:
So this cannot happen anymore:
Their bamboo “garden” was nicer than ours anyway, and still is:
Here’s a close up of that simple and hopefully effective new roof solution. I’m asking myself when we at IBM (buildings A and B) will get something similar:
Conti now even have their own reception, and demanded only female personnel for that:
Today was a nice day, with temperatures still at 16°C when I drove home in the evening (it’s now dark, but still 12°C while I write this). Spring seems to finally be coming, and during our lunch walk, Arno and I saw this:
Sadly, this photo is way overblown, which is/was totally the photographer’s (my) error. I had the aperture fixed at f=2.0 as usual, and even with the camera being intelligent enough to go as low as ISO 100 (normal range for auto ISO being 200-800), it’s still too hot for even 1/2000th of a second. But I still like it, and wanted to show it here, so I tried my best in post and also cropped it into the 16:9 format.
Thanks for viewing.
