While sitting at my computer this evening, and looking to the right, I saw this:
Taken with the 40-150mm, the longer one of my two kit zooms, at 98mm and f=8.0, with an exposure of 30 seconds, and using my tripod. The camera said +1EV (overexposed), but RawTherapee still brightened it up with +0.6EV. The light meter couldn’t really decide between f8 and f5.6 (the slightest angle made a difference that big), so I decided to play it safe. Still better than what the camera alone would have done – it would have been about 1.6 stops under…
So in really low light, it pays to have an incident light meter.
Thanks for viewing.
