is hard. Sometimes, heads have to roll to make it. My employer will probably lay off one third of their manpower here in Germany, as Handelsblatt reported yesterday. Just because shareholders never seem to get enough. Or, as Edward Abbey put it in his “The Journey Home” in 1977:
